What is the best way to schedule training or courtroom tour?

Attorney’s and their staff may schedule a standard training in which the AV team will provide the requestor with a tour of the courtroom. During this meeting block, the attorney may bring his or her laptop to troubleshoot their connection to the courtroom presentation system.

Requestors will be required to create a account prior to making an appointment with our engineers.

What are the necessary requirements for a witness to appear in court remotely?

Remote participants will not require any additional setup as long as the necessary meeting link is provided to the participant. We suggest making sure the participant is using the proper device (laptop or tablet), along with a strong internet connection.
Note: Mobile devices are not ideal devices as they do not sustain a strong enough connection to facilitate a meeting.

We are trying to obtain the audio recording from the hearing that took place under Judge Schreiber on November 22, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. Could you please advise on what information or fees that would be associated with obtaining that recording?

Does the courtroom have a TV for the jury? Does the courtroom have a sound system wired or will we need to bring our own speakers? Does the courtroom have a white board easel?

The Ninth Circuit courtrooms have uniform technology. Each courtroom is fitted with a document camera, assisted listening device, and a 100 inch projector screen in addition to a wireless presentation system capable of connecting to various devices for evidence presentation. The 23rd floor courtroom however, is equipped with 2 55″ monitors in upper gallery and 2 65″ monitors in the lower gallery.

Does the AV Team have meeting links to virtual meetings?

The AV team does not having information regarding Judges virtual meeting links. Please follow up with the presiding Judges Judicial Assistant in attaining meeting links for virtual appearances.

Where do attorneys meet for training?

Attorney’s may meet at the designated courtroom their original hearing is set to take place.

I have court tomorrow but did not schedule a training. Is it too late to make an appointment?

We shall do our best to try and accommodate if an appointment is not created. However we cannot guarantee you a spot. It is all based on availability.

Is there a checkout requirement for courthouse equipment?

There is no checkout requirements for using the AV equipment in the courtroom. All available equipment is ready for use in each courtroom.

What do I do if I am unable to join a virtual meeting link?

If a participant is unable to join a meeting link here are few things to check:

Check the available video and audio devices for the device.
Double check and ensure the device has a strong internet or WiFi connection.
Confirm with the judicial assistant the meeting link is valid.
Update your device with the latest Windows or IOS drivers.

Are the courtrooms uniform to each other?

Yes, all of our courtrooms except for the 23rd floor courtroom are alike.
